Going Away Party

It might have been a little early since Mawson's stay was extended a bit, but we had a nice party with all kinds of drinking to say goodbye. Even my cat Gypsy showed up.

Flood

The other day I took Mawson down Highway 370 to see some of the fields that were flooded. The water was really close to the highway and one road is closed because it is under water. This isn't anywhere close to as bad as it is in other areas though.

Cardinals vs. Pirates

Today (June 1, 2008) Greg and I went to see a baseball with the Cardinals vs. Pirates. It was a lot of fun and a really great game. To make it even better-the Cardinals won! Yay!

The Arch

Yesterday (May 31, 2008) Mawson came with me and Greg to the St. Louis Arch. It was a great day. We wanted to go on the ferry, but it was sold out, so we made plans for next weekend. At the arch we went on a carriage ride and went to the top of the arch. Afterwards we went to Ted Drewes to enjoy delicious ice cream.

Pointfest!

Today (May 18, 2008), we went to Pointfest. It's a concert put on by the local radio station, 105.7 the Point. This year was a little disappointing and the band I wanted to see most was placed on a secondary stage. So, even though we had awesome seat tickets, I only used them once just to see how close I would have been. Mawson still had a good time-even though we mostly walked around in the parking lot stage area. (: He was pretty amazed at our awesome seats too, but like me, was just as disappointed that we had to be so far away from the real action in the parking lot stage. However, we did get awesomely close to the band (Coheed and Cambria) for autographs!

(Sorry for crappy pictures. According to the website digital cameras were not allowed at the show, so I didn't bring mine. Unfortunately for me, it looked like everyone else brought theirs! I was mad.)
